Nino Niederreiter sends Charlie McAvoy flying with a big hit
When you think about Nino Niederreiter, big hitter, isn't something that naturally comes to mind. But the playoffs have a way of bringing out a player's physical side. That's exactly what it's appeared to have done for Nino.
In the 2nd period of tonight's game, while McAvoy was retrieving the puck, Niederreiter was able to line McAvoy up and he lands a solid hit that sent McAvoy flying.
There was no penalty called on the play and rightfully so. Currently the Bruins are outplaying the Hurricanes but losing 3-1 on the scoreboard.
