In Sunday, the Ottawa 67's took on the Sudbury Wolves in a game that ended up being heated. So much so thst things boiled over just over halfway through the 3rd period.

67's player Tyler Boucher took exception to a hit to the head of one of his teammates by wolves player Marc Boudreau. In fact, Boucher jumped Boudreau and let let some fists fly while Boudreau was on the ground. Take a look as per Kenny Walls of TSN and the voice of the Ottawa 67's

As a result of his actions, Boucher has been handed a two game suspension for the way he handled Boudreau. That to me, seems at least a little odd.

On the one hand, I agree with the suspension of Boucher, but if you're going to suspend one guy for the way he defended a teammate, in my mind you have to suspend the other for the obvious head contact on the hit that started the fight.

I guess the NHL isn't the only league that needs to review their player safety protocols. Now, nothing on Boudreau has been announced, but one would think that if they were going to suspend both players, they would have announced it at the same time. So for now, nothing is coming for Boudreau.
