The game against the New Jersey Devils and the New York Islanders got out of hand this afternoon. It all started when Oliver Wahlstrom landed a questionable hit on Devils' superstar Jack Huges.
The Incident took place less than 5 minutes into the second period. PK Subban took exception to the hit that would force Hughes to leave the game.
The Devil's defender came across the ice, jumped Wahlstrom and was given a 5-minute major for fighting, 2-minutes for Instigating, 2-minutes for being the aggressor and a 10-minute misconduct, on the play and game misconduct. Wahlstrom was an unsuspecting combatant and Subban left him laying on the ice and was quickly escorted to the dressing room for his actions. On the play Wahlstrom received a fighting major.
Opinion: I believe this was a borderline hit at best, in any rate, the way Subban jumped Wahlstrom warranted being kicked out of the game. do you think Subban's actions were warranted?
