Vitaly Kravtsov fled North America earlier this year after he failed to make the New York Rangers squad. Kravtsov was frustrated with the lack of opportunities and returned to Europe where he chose to play the entirety of last season. But now it appears he is more open to a return to the Rangers.

Dan Milstein, Kravtsov's agent announced today that the forward had signed a 1-year one-way deal with the club.

Vitali Kravtsov signs 1 year (one way) contract extension with The New York Rangers. #WeAreGoldStar!

The one-way nature of this deal means that he will HAVE to clear waivers should the Rangers leave him off their NHL roster.

Kravtsov was drafted 9th overall in 2018, but he has only seen 20 NHL Games. In those games he's scored 2 goals and added 2 assists. This is likely Kravtsov's final opportunity in New York to figure it out or he will more than likely find himself a new home for the following season.
