Tonight's Game 3 clash between Tampa Bay and New York Rangers may have cost the Rangers more than just a game in the series. Rangers forward, Ryan Strome took a cross-check, before awkwardly turning and immediately retreating to the locker room.
Strome has been doing well this year in the playoffs with 2G, 7A, and a +1 rating in 16 games played. The Rangers could be without their 2nd line center for an undetermined amount of time. Tampa may now have a shot at a comeback in this series.
After the game Gerard Gallant shared that there was no update on Strome's condition or availability at the time, which is usually not a positive sign.
Game 4 goes Tuesday in Tampa as the Lightning look to knot the series at 2.
