San Jose trying to get more fans in the building with unique promotional giveaway
The San Jose Sharks are trying to entice fans to their home game against the Los Angeles Kings tonight. First off, the Sharks are wearing their reverse retro jerseys in tonight's contest. In addition to that, the Sharks organization is giving everyone in attendance a free NFT digital collectable seat location for this special night. You can see an example of the reverse retro jersey and the collectable below.
Sure the Sharks are having a rough year and likely will not make the playoffs. It is cool the organization is trying to get some more fans in the building though. Plus it's a Friday night home game against their rivals the Los Angeles Kings. I'd go if I could. Plus Erik Karlsson is playing really well this season.
San Jose is towards the bottom of the league in average attendance. They are averaging just over twelve thousand fans per game. It is unlikely that the attendance will improve much in San Jose this year, but you can't blame the organization for trying something new. Hopefully the club can rebuild and get a competitive team back on the ice. When they do, I'm sure the fans will return to the SAP Center.
