The Toronto Maple Leafs have undergone some major organizational changes this summer. Most recently, the Leafs filled out their coaching staff with Guy Boucher and Mike Van Ryn who will work with the power play and defence respectively.
This sounds like a thinly veiled shot at Dubas who seemingly had more control in Toronto than he led people to believe before he left. Dubas was reported to always want a hand in every decision made, going as far as to mention he'd have a hand in lineup decision at last year's Trade Deadline.
Time will tell if this makes a difference behind the Leafs bench next season, but if this does work, it further shows how much power Dubas actually has in Toronto. The hiring of Boucher especially is of note as Dubas had refused during his time in Toronto to hire an individual with previous NHL Head Coaching experience to work on the bench with Keefe.
