The Toronto Maple Leafs and the New Jersey Devils are facing off again for the second time in 6 days. New Jersey thought they had the first goal of the game.
The video review room in Toronto had other ideas. This goal was called back because of goaltender interference. Aftet the call on the ice was no goal, Devils coach Lindy Ruff challenged the play.
Then, still after the challenge made the referees check a second time, the call on the ice stood.
I guess Devils forward Nathan Bastian was in the blue paint, but that has to be one of the softest goaltender interference/ goal reviews I've ever seen.
Maybe, just maybe, the Leafs so have a slight advantage when it comes to reviews. I kid, slightly. Bastian barely touched Matt Murray's skate. In my mind, that's a good goal
