St. Louis Blues coach rips his team live on air right on the bench in front of everyone
In recent years the NHL has taken in-game access to all new levels. Interviews now have access to benches and coaches during stoppages in play, which is something other sports have done for years. With that access comes challenges that haven't been faced previously.
Tonight the St. Louis Blues fell behind the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 in the 1st period. After the disappointing start Head Coach, Craig Berube was asked to discuss his team's performance while on the bench with his players. Rather than giving a politically correct answer Berube instead ripped his entire teams performance.
We just weren't skating in our own zone, killing plays. Then when we did get the puck, we didn't execute a play to get it out.
Berube would go onto compliment he's teams fight as they managed to bring the game within 2 goals as they currently trail 4-2 after 2 periods.
