TJ Oshie injured after awkward hit, forced to leave the game
The Washington Capitals have been one of the few teams who have made it through the preseason fully healthy. That was until tonight. During tonight's preseason game between the Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals.
During the 2nd period of tonight's game Oshie takes a hit along the side boards. The hit appears to send Oshie awkwardly into the boards.
Oshie was able to make it to the bench under his own power, but shortly after arriving he leaves the bench and heads to the locker room with the athletic trainer. With Niklas Backstrom still recovering from offseason surgery, any misstep could cost the Caps a playoff spot.
The Capitals have already announced that Oshie will not return to tonight's game and will require to be re-evaluated.
