Team USA has tying goal called back by controversial goalie interference call
The United States and Team Canada are facing off in the Semi-Finals of the World Juniors Championship right now in Halifax. The United States thought they had tied the game, but a controversial decision would ultimately rule the play no goal.
USA forward Jackson Blake setup in front of the Canadians crease before beating Thomas Milic. On the play Blake spins around and makes contact with Milic. The play was initially called a good goal but upon review it was deemed to be goaltender interference.
Unfortunately, the disallowed goal seem to take the wind out of the United States sails and shortly after they gave up another goal fall behind by two goals.
