Things get heated after Tim Stutzle cross checks Marc Staal from behind
It's not often that you hear about Tim Stutzle and physical play, but that's exactly what happened tonight. During the second period of tonight's Red Wings versus Senators game, Tim Stutzle made contact with Marc Staal and cross checked him into the boards head first.
On the play it appears Staal turns away from Stutzle before he is shoved head first into the boards. Like most teams built be Stevie Y, the Red Wings didn't take this lying down and they immediately responded.
Tim Stutzle received a 2-minute penalty for cross-checking, while Travis Hamonic and Michael Rasmussen both received minor penalties for roughing.
