If we should learn anything from the ongoing investigations into Hockey Canada and the sexual assaults it helped cover up, it's that «Hockey Culture» in Canada needs to change. Unfortunately there still seems to be a lot of people who haven't received the memo.
Paige Ellis is a reporter for BNN Bloomberg, a business news outlet. She has been covering the Hockey Canada scandals this week and more specifically the financial implications of companies pulling their sponsorship deals. While doing a live report a man in a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey crashed the feature and provided a perfect example of what is going on right now.
Get the baby cock out of your mouth.
There's something poetic about a guy in a Leafs jersey, yelling obscenities at a female reporter while she tries to cover hockey. The icing on the cake has to be the Tim Hortons in the background. He probably thought he was being funny when really all he was doing was making a reporter feel uncomfortable. If interviewed he would likely tell you that Hockey Canada doesn't need to change and is doing a great job.
