Ever since the world was introduced to Connor Bedard as a 15-year-old he was projected to be drafted 1st overall. Bedard isn't eligible for the NHL draft until next season, but likely would have gone 1st if he'd been eligible last season.
Now with less then a year before Bedard will be selected, his stock continues to rise. After helping Team Canada win a gold medal at the 2022 World Junior, teams are salivating at the opportunity to draft Bedard. While Bedard's stock had risen, Matvei Michkov, the projected 2nd overall pick, has seen his stock fall due to recent injury and his KHL contract status.
The popular sports website FanDuel recently shared the odds of the which teams have the best chance to select Bedard. The two team with the best odds are the Arizona Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks both at +300, while the Montreal Canadiens who won the 2022 NHL Draft Lottery are +500, and the Buffalo Sabres are the fourth at +1000 odds of winning
