There's no denying that the Vancouver Canucks are about to tear it all down for a full on rebuild. With one of the most horrible starts of the season in their franchise history, they have a lot of valuable assets that they can trade to get draft picks for this year's upcoming deep draft.
The Canucks are wanting to move Oliver Ekman-Larsson but are finding out that it will be close to impossible to move him as he is currently unwilling to waive his no movement clause.
The Canucks could get an amazing return for him but they first need to get his approval to do so. Unlike the Ryan McDonagh situation, the Canucks don't have the leverage to force OEL to waive his trade protection. OEL was reportedly only willing to accept a trade to Vancouver or Boston at the time of his original trade so this shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
