Waiver Wire information for January 23rd - Sheldon Keefe shares why the Leafs waived Dryden Hunt and why it wasn't his choice
The National Hockey League was rather quiet when pertaining to waivers today however a couple of moves were made this afternoon.
Anton Blidh a twenty-seven-year-old left winger was put on waivers by the Colorado Avalanche. In thirteen games this year he contributed four penalty minutes. If he clears, he'll continue his season with the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League.
The Toronto Maple Leafs put Dryden Hunt on waivers as well. Hunt, who suited up for nine games with the buds had one goal in nine games while playing an average of 8:26 a night.
When asked by the media about Hunt, Keefe had the following comment
That's just Kyle managing the roster. We like a lot about Hunt. We'll see what happens here today and take it from there.
Both players are expected to be sent to the American Hockey League affiliates of both teams.
