Former NHLer ejected for slashing referee during a game
Nick Shore who suited up for just shy of three hundred games in the National Hockey League over five seasons is having himself a time playing for HV71 Jonkoping in the Swedish Hockey League.
Cameras recently caught Shore streaking in on the left side trying to pot a puck on the far side and in the process knocking the net off with what looked like a distinct two-handed pushing motion.
After the play is called dead, Shore in disgust swings his stick towards the boards. While doing this, he clips the official. The incident resulted in an immediate ejection.
Shore, whose career penalty minutes isn't overwhelming may have got caught up in the moment while acting out in disgust of himself not being able to finish the play the way he wanted.
