Wayne Gretzky is the greatest hockey player of all time. He's made a very lucrative career out of his post playing days. After taking some time away from the game, Gretzky return this year in a brand new role.
The NHL Legend returned to hockey this season by joining the NHL on TNT panel. And he's absolutely excelled in the rule. Honestly, who better to give insights on the game, then the greatest player of all time? After the NHL season ended Sunday, Gretzky decided to kick his summer off in style by purchasing a sweet luxurious custom boat to hit the water.
The boat is a 'Custom Steinway 340 HT. Gretzky will definitely be turning some heads on the water with the Canadian flag proudly attached. This just isn't any basic boat either Gretzky has his iconic and retired number "99" embroidered on his cushions and that special detail, was his wife's idea.
These boats start at a whopping $800,000 and this unit likely set The Great One back even more than that.
Fans will get to see it when it's showcased in August at the Coeur d'Alene Antique and Classic Boat Festival, but here are a few more photos courtesy of Auto Evolution.
