Zach MacEwan tries to impress his new coach, eats solid right hands instead
Zach MacEwan is doing his best to try and impress his new head coach John Tortorella. MacEwan knows he's at his best when he'd getting under the skin of his opponents and playing with a physical edge. With the addition of Nic Deslauriers to the roster, MacEwen is going to have to earn every minute.
Today in a pre-season matchup against the Boston Bruins, MacEwan tried to make an impact. As MacEwan cross checks Nick Foligno, he's immediately intercepted by Nick Wolff. Wolff, the 6'5 defenseman dropped his gloves and immediately stuck up for his teammate.
It's clear Wolff is going to endear himself to his teammates as he fed MacEwan some serious shots. Both men received 5 minute majors for fighting, while Wolff got 2 minutes for roughing and MacEwan received 2 for cross checking.
