Virtually every venue for concerts or sports have heightened security, some control the dimensions of things you're allowed to bring in, make you empty your pockets and walk through metal detectors before entry or, limit what and if you're allowed to bring in certain things.
It appears the Boston Bruins and TD Garden, the Bruins home arena is jumping on board, but this one seems oddly targeted towards women; take a look.
UPDATE: Effective Feb. 17, new @EvolvTechnology security screening will be implemented at TD Garden. To ensure a swifter entry process, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags. Bags larger than 6» x4» x 1.5» will not be permitted.
The Bruins and TD Garden are facing some intense backlash over this decision because it effectively eliminates the ability for anyone to bring a purse into the venue, something that many need for hygiene products.
This doesn't work for anyone who experiences a period but sure lol
For the love of God, get women in your/NHL's decision-making processes.
As a woman who needs certain products that the TD Garden doesn't supply for free, this is absolutely ridiculous. My phone is the size that yall want our new «bags» to be.
It seems this policy isn't going to be appropriate for anyone. Most phones are bigger than the dimensions posted in their new policy.
The other thing most are mad about, the new policy was made effective the day before TD garden actually posted about the change.
