Insider announces scheduling change to stadium series game
The National Hockey League rarely has an outdoor game go off without some sort of interruption and it seems that that continues as the stadium series game between the New York Rangers and New York Islanders has been postponed.
According to Stefen Rosner a beat writer for NHL.com the start of the Rangers- Islanders game has been pushed by more than an hour; take a look. Hey guys. Hearing #Isles vs. #NYR won't be starting until after 4 PM.
Sounds like the start time could be between 3:45-4 PM now, so a little earlier than the latest delay update.
Hockey will be played today.

Clearly, things are delayed, and things are fluid.

It's not clear why the start time of the game has been pushed, but with outdoor games there can be a multitude of factors and reason for a postponement, such as ice conditions or sun placement.
The situation remains fluid and the start time is up in the air, but one thing is clear, the game will be played outside at some point today.
