Nashville Predators head coach cancels team activity to send stern warning after a string of embarrassing loses
Every NHL team suffers losses during the season, some being hard fought one goal defeats and others that just need the game tape burnt. It was the latter for the Nashville Predators on Thursday night who laid an absolute egg in front of their home fans getting demolished 9-2.
After a performance like this, the head coach must respond. Would it be a bag skate next the day at practice? A player only meeting? Instead Andrew Brunette decided cancelling a luxury team event would be the fitting punishment.
The Predators head coach Andrew Burnette cancelled the teams upcoming outing to see the band U2 a the Sphere in Las Vegas due to their poor play recently.
Nashville had lost five out of their last six games coming into Saturday's contest, falling out of a playoff position.
The team responded by defeating the St. Louis Blues on Saturday afternoon. The Predators are two points behind St Louis for the final Wild Card position with a record of 28-25-2.
It's good to see a coach actually take a stand like this. It's not too often you see something like this in today's NHL. Good on B
