Joe Pavelski runs over Corey Perry with a huge hit during playoff game
In the first period of the Edmonton Oilers versus Dallas Stars game, Joe Pavelski ran over Corey Perry forcing Perry to leave the game.
Joe Pavelski is doing everything in his power to capture his very first Stanley Cup. Tonight the veteran forward decided to increase the physicality to set the tone for his team. In the first period Pavelski saw an opportunity to finish a hit and he took it.
After Perry cleared the puck Pavelski delivered a huge hit that sent Perry awkwardly to the ice.
Corey Perry has gone to the Oilers room after taking a hit from Joe Pavelski.
Perry did not return for the remainder of the first period and the Oilers have currently provided no update on his status. For a player like Perry to leave the game it's obvious a significant issue. After one period the Oilers lead the game 1-0.
