Nick Cousins has quickly developed a reputation for being one of the most hated players in the National Hockey League. Earlier this month, he was voted the least liked played by his peers and since then he has done little to alter that perception. Unlike Brad Marchand, Cousins pest like behavior isn't viewed in a positive light.
Tonight, Cousins took another step to ensuring that he will likely never win a popularity contest. During tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres, Cousins took a dive that would make Tim Stutzle blush. Possibly even more embarrassing, is that fact that Cousins immediately jumps to his feet and joins the scrum when he realizes that his acting abilities aren't going to pay off.
Not only is Cousins clearly acting here, instead of squaring up with an opponent he takes the opportunity to jump on the back of Jacob Bryson. This is just another example of why Nick Cousins is such an unlikable player, in a day and age where the rats rule the roost.
