Patrick Kane has a message for Connor Bedard after big check Sunday night
On Sunday Patrick Kane made his long awaited return to Chicago. After playing his entire career with the Blackhawks, Kane was traded to the New York Rangers at last year's NHL Trade Deadline. With no games on the schedule against his former team last year, yesterday marked Kane's first time in the visiting dressing room at the United Center.
During yesterday's game Kane was on the receiving end of a body check from Blackhawks prized rookie, Connor Bedard. The collision sent Kane hard into the boards, and left him looking for the number on the back of the jersey of the player who just hit him.
After the game Kane was asked his thoughts on Bedard and more specifically the hit. After some complimentary words Kane had a hilarious comment for the Hawks rookie.
He's lucky he had the bubble on, or I was going after him.
Ultimately Kane got the last laugh scoring the overtime winner giving the Red Wings the victory and sending Hawks fans home disappointed on the day that Chris Chelios was honoured by the team.
