You have to wonder what goes through the head of someone who would do this to someone else over senior hockey. A video making its rounds on social media shows a player in a senior league in Alberta giving another player on the opposite team one of the most brutal two-handed slashes to the head you will ever see.
The video starts with a linesman attempting to stop a player in white from getting to the other players. It looks like a penalty may have already been called. Either way, as the player gets near one of his opponents, he takes a big two-handed swing, hitting him in the head. The slashed player initially doubles over for a second or two before dropping to the ice.
The linesman continues to have to restrain the slasher as he makes his way to the box. Whatever happened before the video started, I sincerely doubt it warranted that kind of response. I assume this will lead to either a long suspension, or being kicked out of the league entirely.
