A USHL team has found themselves in hot water as their Director of Hockey Operations has been arrested for a very serious crime.
Youngstown Phantoms Director of Hockey Operations Robert Acri has gotten himself into some legal trouble after task force agents conducted an undercover sting operation on him on Friday.
Acri was arrested on Friday after responding to an online ad soliciting prostitution, requesting two sexual acts for $100. The 30 year old, arrived at the pre-determined location in Salem where he was taken into custody by the task force agents.
Youngstown Phantoms have suspended Acri pending an investigation in the matter. The franchise has released the following statement on the incident:
The Phantoms have learned that an employee has been arrested on misdemeanor prostitution charges. He has been suspended by the team pending an investigation. Our primary concern will always be the safety of our players, and we will continue to monitor the situation as it develops,
It seems as if the phantoms are dealing with this situation properly at the moment, keeping Acri away from the hockey club while this situation continues to develop. People, especially in the hockey world for whatever reason feel like they're untouchable in some cases.
