Panthers Superstar Exits Left With A 2-0 Lead
For the second game in a row Panthers' tenacious superstar Matthew Tkachuk won the game in overtime. Saturday nights' game only needed one minute and 51 seconds compared to Thursday's marathon of four extra periods.
After Tkachuk scored he pointed again toward the door along the boards that led to the locker room.
He skated over as Panthers teammates joined him, then motioned to lead them off the ice.
Panthers goalie
Sergei Bobrovsky kept his string of outstanding performances going, making 37 saves in the win.
Florida has the whole team rolling at the right time and is getting great performances from their best players. Tkachuk has been clutch scoring 7 goals and 18 points in 14 games.
The Panthers snuck into the playoffs by one point over the Pittsburgh Penguins. They are on a historic run, knocking off two over 100 point regular season teams in the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Florida is two wins away from the franchise's second Stanley Cup final. They were slept in 1996 by the Colorado Avalanche.
