Edmonton Oilers give up on former 1st round pick send him packing in trade

After weeks of rumors, it appears the Edmonton Oilers have traded Kailer Yamamoto to the Detroit Red Wings.





The deal sees absolutely nothing coming back to Edmonton in return and is purely a salary dump. In the deal, the Oilers clear Yamamoto's full 3.1 million cap hit.
