Carson and Daniel Briere issue first statement after he destroyed a $4,000 wheelchair

Yesterday the story broke that Carson Briere had destroyed a $4,000 wheelchair while recently at a local bar. The video drew immediate outrage from the public and the owner of the wheelchair.



Earlier today Mercyhurst University where Carson plays hockey, released a statement promising to get to the bottom of the situation involving the student athlete.




Now approximately 24 hours after the video leaked both Flyer's General Manager Daniel Briere and his son Carson have officially released a statement on the matter.

Reports have already stated that Briere has been banned from the establishment that this incident occurred at. But it also appears all local facilities are in the process of banning the player.



Hopefully Carson learns from this incident and becomes a better person for it.
