Arizona Coyotes already begun firing staff members
The future of the Coyotes in Arizona has been murky for sometime now, with things escalating last week. The rumors have the team leaving Arizona for Salt Lake City, Utah starting in 2024-25. Coyotes Chairman, Governor and Majority Owner Alex Meruelo released a statement saying an announcement would be made soon which hasn't exactly put any cold water on the rumors.
It was revealed yesterday that the Social Media Representative for the Arizona Coyotes no longer has a position.
If the rumors are accurate and the Coyotes leave Arizona it will be an unfortunate cause and effect with many people left being unemployed.
There have been many mistakes made by the Meruelo ownership group that has led to the very likely reality that this in the end of NHL hockey in Arizona. From not paying outstanding bills on time, playing home games in a 5,000 seat arena, and openly seeking public funding for a new arena.
It will be a sad evening when the Coyotes play their final home game on Wednesday night, against the Edmonton Oilers in what will likely be the last game ever of NHL hockey in Arizona. The players should be going all out to get one final win for the home fans, as we close the book on a very sad, and ugly situation in Arizona.
