Now THIS is playoff hockey! Things got really rough between the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights in their second round series last night, especially in the third period. One of the catalysts was a hit from behind on Knights defenceman Alex Pietrangelo, who was drilled head first into the boards by Edmonton's Evander Kane. Pietrangelo turns at the last possible second, leaving Kane with no time to back off on the hit.

Not long after, Pietrangelo decided to take out his frustrations on Leon Draisaitl as he was trying to shoot at the empty net. Pietrangelo would deliver a wicked slash to Draisaitl's arm that was definitely intentional, and may end up getting him fined and/or suspended.

Teammate Connor McDavid was not at all happy about the slash on Draisaitl. He called it a clear intent to injure and said be believes Pietrangelo should be suspended, adding it's not a hockey play.

Edmonton won the game 4-1 to tie the series at 2 games each. Game 5 takes place Friday night in Las Vegas.
