Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is currently out with an injury, and earlier today, Craig Berube finally delivered a concrete update on the goalie.
If you have been paying attention to the Toronto Maple Leafs lately, you know that they have been dealing with some issues involving goaltender Anthony Stolarz.
He has been out for over a month with an undisclosed upper-body injury, and no one seems to know what he is actually going through right now.
This has led to some major concerns, and it has also led the goalie to see a specialist, who is supposed to get him on the right track.
The Leafs now have to rely on Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby, although there is no denying that getting Stolarz back could be huge for the team.
Anthony Stolarz isn't returning to the Maple Leafs anytime soon
According to Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube, the fans shouldn't be holding their breath right now. Instead, it's not looking too good.
He told the media on Saturday that Stolarz is going to be out indefinitely and that, for now, there is no diagnosis on his injury.
At this point, it might be time to put Stolarz on long-term injury reserve. Or, the Leafs need to just shut him down for the entire season.
The Leafs cannot keep going on this way. They need clarity, and they need to do something to keep everything organized as the New Year approaches.
Injuries have been a huge issue for the Leafs, and the injuries to the goaltending core have left the team in a bad spot.
Last year's tandem has not played together this season, and that is a major problem. As it turns out, it won't be rectified anytime soon.
