Auston Matthews' latest gesture will anger Winnipeg Jets fans

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews had a big game against the Winnipeg Jets, and it feels like the captain's swagger is on 11 right now.
Auston Matthews has been on a heater over the past month or so, and this has been to the benefit of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The forward was struggling to score at the start of the season. Now, he is quickly becoming one of the hottest scorers in the entire league.
He is getting back to his old self, and with the Leafs in the midst of a playoff hunt, this could mean the Leafs are all the way back to being real contenders.
Having said that, Matthews had a goal and an assist against the Winnipeg Jets, and this has the fans in Winnipeg feeling frustrated.

After the game, Matthews made some comments about how he expects to be booed by opposing fanbases. It was the type of comment that displayed the cockiness fans love to see.
However, Matthews actually took it a step further, and some new footage surfacing on social media actually proves this to be the case.
Below, you can see the forward looking at the crowd and putting his hand to his ear as he got off the ice following last night's game.
This is the type of confidence you love to see from your captain, and it does feel as though the Maple Leafs are on the verge of something great here.
Matthews is scoring, and now that he has the all-time Maple Leafs record, he is absolutely flying in the best way possible.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can continue to put the season together, and prove some of the detractors wrong.
