The Toronto Maple Leafs are on a roll, and after a win against the Colorado Avalanche, Auston Matthews can't help but get excited about his team.

If you've been paying attention, the Toronto Maple Leafs are on a 10-game point streak and are 8-0-2 during this time. This is a stark contrast to their start to the season, which was abysmal.
The Leafs are now in a playoff spot, and it is all thanks to a huge win against the Colorado Avalanche, which went down on Monday night in Colorado.
Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews had a goal and an assist in the game, and it is clear that the forward is back to his usual tricks after a rough start.
Tonight, the Leafs are back in action against the Utah Mammoth, although immediately after last night's game, there was quite a bit of joy emanating from the Leafs' locker room.

Auston Matthews on the recent wave of Maple Leafs success

According to Auston Matthews, the real reason behind this team's turnaround has been their confidence. They have real belief in themselves, and it is beginning to show.
While the Leafs can certainly improve in certain areas, a win against the Avalanche proves that this team is firing on all cylinders right about now.
I just think, internally, going into this game, I mean, we've been playing great hockey, and I think we deserved to have confidence coming into this game. It doesn't matter who you're playing, it doesn't matter if it's the number one team in the league, or a team that's won 17-straight on the road. I think it's just the belief and the confidence that you can go into any rink, no matter the situation, and play a complete game and come out with two points. It wasn't about anything else tonight except all 20 guys going out there and competing.

Whether or not the Leafs are able to keep this going is something that still remains to be seen. Although with a playoff spot on the line, the Leafs will need to keep this going.
Teams like the Buffalo Sabres are trying to knock them down, and the Leafs just need to keep their feet on the gas for a while longer.
It's not going to be easy for the Leafs, but they have no choice, as their season hangs in the balance.
