Las Vegas Golden Knights forward Mitch Marner gets to go up against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight, and his recent comments are pretty laissez-faire.

Mitch Marner was phenomenal with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season as he had 102 points, which was a career high. However, once again, he was a failure in the postseason.
This season, Marner has 47 points in 45 games with the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and it appears as though he is playing for a real Stanley Cup contender.
Tonight, Marner's focus will have to be on his former team. The Leafs are in town as part of their big West Coast road trip, and there is a lot of pressure on both sides to get a win.
Fans are going to be very intrigued about how Marner plays against the Leafs. Not to mention, Marner will be back in Toronto next Friday, which certainly ups the pressure.

Mitch Marner on playing the Toronto Maple Leafs

According to reporter Anna Dua, the concept of playing against the Leafs again isn't one that is particularly interesting to Marner, and his latest comments prove that.
When asked how it feels going up against his former team, he claimed that he hasn't even thought about it, and that he'll only really know the answer a few hours before the game.
I hadn't really thought about it till this moment
This is one of those answers that just feels like an outright lie, and quite frankly, it is disrespectful to the Leafs' fanbase. The Leafs were Marner's favorite team growing up. Of course, he's thought about playing against them.
Marner is attempting to look nonchalant in the media, and it's a nice little maneuver, but most fans are going to see through it pretty easily.
Whether or not this kind of attitude gets him very far tonight against the Leafs, is something that still remains to be seen.
