Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is looking to have a major season, and as it turns out, captain Auston Matthews is embracing him in new ways.
Anthony Stolarz is fresh off the best season of his NHL career, and Maple Leafs fans are eager to watch him repeat it.
Overall, there is no telling whether or not he will be able to keep up the pace. But if he does, then he will certainly be deserving of a new contract.
In fact, the Leafs and Stolarz are working on a deal. As it stands, neither side has made very much progress, but things are stable, for the most part.

As it turns out, Stolarz was there as well, showcasing just how highly-regarded the goalie is within the team.
Sources are saying the Leafs leadership group is at Kasa Moto tonight, the last Saturday night before training camp gets underway.

It remains to be seen what this means for Stolarz and if he will have a greater influence in the locker room as the season goes on.
He is a great player, but he could be gone by the end of the year, which means the Maple Leafs shouldn't assign too much power just yet.
