The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, and with Connor Bedard on the other side, the game could get complicated.

On Tuesday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be playing against the Chicago Blackhawks, and there is a lot of fanfare around this game.
The Maple Leafs need a win, and the Blackhawks are looking to spoil that. However, the Blackhawks are now dealing with their own injury problems.
Just a few nights ago, Connor Bedard injured his shoulder, and the scene was very scary. He was writhing around in pain, and there was this sense that his season could be in jeopardy.
Not to mention, Bedard is trying to make Team Canada and play at the Olympics. A bad injury could prevent Team Canada from taking him to Italy.

Chicago Blackhawks make announcement involving Connor Bedard

Today, the Blackhawks made the announcement that Bedard would be placed on the injured reserve. Furthermore, it is believed that he won't play until the New Year.
This means the Toronto Maple Leafs won't have to face Bedard on Tuesday night, and this certainly increases their chances of winning.
Bedard has 44 points in 31 games this season and has been one of the most impressive players in the entire league. Now, the Blackhawks must figure things out without him.
It's a tough look for the Blackhawks, who were actually putting up a good fight with Bedard this season, and were on the right track.
Now, this team is bound to regress without their superstar. As for the Maple Leafs, they need to take full control of the situation.
Tomorrow's game could very well determine if the Leafs are hopeless, or if a glimmer of hope is still in the cards for them.
