Brad Treliving's latest move suggests a Maple Leafs trade is on the way

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving is looking to make some kind of trade, and the Chicago Blackhawks appear to be on his radar.
Brad Treliving is under tremendous pressure to get a deal done for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as the team continues to struggle.
Despite the standings, the plan is for the Maple Leafs to go after a player and continue to add in hopes that the team makes the postseason.
In the eyes of some fans, this is a bad move, and one that is going to backfire on the Maple Leafs, who have been mostly mediocre this season.
However, Treliving continues to send his scouts to games, and there is one team, in particular, that the Leafs seem keen on doing business with.
Brad Treliving sends scout to Chicago Blackhawks game
Recently, Treliving had two Maple Leafs scouts at a game between the Florida Panthers and the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks angle here is particularly interesting, as the Leafs have sent multiple scouts to Blackhawks games so far this season.
There is this feeling that the Maple Leafs are going to do business with Chicago soon, especially with the Olympic break coming up in about 10 days from now.
Defenseman Connor Murphy seems like someone the Leafs might be taking a strong look at, while Tyler Bertuzzi couldalso be in play.
Whatever the case may be, the Maple Leafs need to start giving their fans some hope before it is ultimately too late.
The playoff dream is starting to wash away, and the fans are not going to be very accepting of that for much longer.
