The Toronto Maple Leafs were awful today against the Colorado Avalanche, and it was truly one of the worst displays we have ever seen.
Overall, the Leafs are a better team than they are showing. However, there is just no urgency, despite their desperation in the Wild Card standings.

Jake McCabe reveals what's wrong with the Toronto Maple Leafs
One of those players is defenseman Jake McCabe, who offered a diagnosis for the Leafs' whole host of struggles.
In McCabe's mind, it all comes down to confidence, or in the Maple Leafs' case, a complete and utter lack thereof.
We're not playing with a ton of confidence right now so you got to generate it when you don't have it.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have to look inward right now, and there is no denying that the season is on the verge of being lost.
If the Leafs cannot make the postseason, then they are certainly in trouble going forward, and at some point, some big decisions will have to be made.
It's a disappointing situation, and only time will tell whether or not the Leafs are able to figure it out, and become real contenders again.
