Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has been subjected to some bad hockey this season, and he has no choice but to get it together and make a move.
Brad Treliving has one of the hardest jobs in the entire NHL, especially when you consider which franchise he works for, and the expectations of the fans.
After losing Mitch Marner, Treliving had to bring in guys to replace him. Matias Maccelli, Dakota Joshua, and Nicolas Roy were some of those names.
Unfortunately, they have not been able to live up to Marner's past, and the Leafs are suffering as a result. They are last in the Atlantic Division, and last night's loss against the Nashville Predators was another reason to be upset.
Now, Treliving is being pressured to make a move, and the fans want to see something happen; otherwise, they might just start revolting.
Brad Treliving looks tired with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Last night, Treliving was watching the Leafs game from the press box, and as you can imagine, he did not look particularly happy.
After an empty net goal, Treliving looked absolutely despondent. Perhaps it was him realizing that after this road trip, he would have to start making some tough decisions.
Those decisions could run the gamut from firing the head coach to making some trades that actually make this team better.
The chemistry has been off this season, and it feels like the right trade could turn the season around, or at least help with the balance.
Only time will tell if Treliving makes a move, or just keeps things as is, with the team continuing its descent in the standings.
