The Toronto Maple Leafs keep losing games, and with things only getting more difficult, Elliotte Friedman does not have a positive outlook on this team.

After 34 games, the Toronto Maple Leafs are in last place in the Atlantic Division, and they are second-to-last in the entire Eastern Conference.
It has become crystal clear that this team simply is not good enough to do anything of note until something finally changes.
With a loss against the Nashville Predators last night, the doom and gloom has set in, and the analysts aren't deviating from that energy.
Even impartial insiders like Elliotte Friedman cannot help but admit that things look pretty cooked for the Leafs, who have some big decisions to make.

Elliotte Friedman on the Toronto Maple Leafs

During Hockey Night in Canada, Friedman said the Leafs have bigger problems than their head coach, Craig Berube, and general manager, Brad Treliving.
In fact, there is a world where the Leafs look to blow up their core if the losses continue. It's a sad reality, but one that fans should prepare for.
If things don't straighten out, the organization will be forced into existential questions they didn't think they'd have to consider - beyond the coach, beyond management, into the core of their lineup and about overall direction
Maple Leafs fans have been hoping for better, and they just aren't getting "better." Instead, things are only getting worse.
Tonight, the team plays against the Dallas Stars, and if they lose, there is going to be some hell to pay going into the start of another week.
The New Year is 10 days away, and the fans are hoping that the Maple Leafs can finally turn this around and prove they belong in the postseason.
