Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving spoke to the media on Tuesday, and it led to some interesting comments about the team's biggest struggles.
Brad Treliving made a surprise announcement on Monday night, as it was revealed that he would address the media on Tuesday morning.
Considering the fact that the team is in the midst of a five-game losing streak, this press conference was seen as a bit of a bold move.
Some were wondering if the general manager would make a big announcement. In the end, he did the exact opposite.

Instead, he mostly just acknowledged the team's struggles and what the plan is going to be moving forward. Simply put, don't expect a major trade or a coaching change.
In fact, Brad Treliving blamed himself for the team's problems, and even noted that he is taking all of the responsibility.

Perhaps this is a bit dramatic coming from Treliving. At the end of the day, he is not the one playing on the ice.
On paper, the Maple Leafs have a solid roster; they just haven't played particularly well, and it is hard to blame Treliving for that right now.
With that in mind, the Maple Leafs do have a game tonight, and the front office better hope they win and snap this five-game losing streak.
If they lose to the St. Louis Blues, then there is no denying that the Toronto media is going to have a lot to say.
