Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander is currently dealing with a groin injury that has kept him out of the Maple Leafs' lineup for quite some time.

William Nylander is one of the best players in the NHL when he is healthy. With 48 points in 37 games, there is no denying that this has been the case.
Throughout his career, he has been an iron man of sorts. Unfortunately, this season hasn't been so lucky for the forward, as he has had to deal with a whole host of injuries.
It's been rough to watch from a fan perspective, and when he went down against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, there was a collective gasp from Leafs Nation.
Tonight, the Leafs are playing the Minnesota Wild, and it has been revealed that Nylander will not be in the lineup for this one.

William Nylander is going to be out for a while

What is making things even worse is the update that Leafs head coach Craig Berube gave at practice on Monday. Effectively, don't expect Nylander back anytime soon.
The forward is dealing with an ailment to his groin, and in the eyes of the head coach, there is no real timeline on when he will be skating again.
I'm not sure when he's going to be on the ice.
With the Olympics coming up in a few weeks from today, this is a real issue for Team Sweden. One has to wonder if Nylander will even go.
If he does go, then Leafs fans will be monitoring him closely. A re-aggravation of his injury abroad would send some people into a complete tailspin.
Only time will tell whether or not this Nylander situation develops into something that is untenable for the Maple Leafs organization.
