Toronto Maple Leafs get extra helping of bad news involving William Nylander

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander got injured against the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, and the news only gets worse.
Thursday night was a rough one for William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs, as the team lost to the Las Vegas Golden Knights 6-5.
Nylander scored a goal early on in the game, but ended up injuring himself while celebrating, which, quite frankly, was very embarrassing.
Yesterday, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube revealed that it was unclear whether or not Nylander's injury would be long-term or short-term.
What we do know is that the forward is going to have to miss some time, and that puts the Leafs in jeopardy in the short-term.
William Nylander out against the Winnipeg Jets
According to Darren Dreger, William Nylander is not going to be playing against the Winnipeg Jets tonight, which is a huge blow for Toronto.
Meanwhile, it has been said that forward Jacob Quillan will be called up from the Toronto Marlies and given yet another shot.
Going into this game, the Toronto Maple Leafs are two points out of a playoff spot, which is not an ideal place to be in.
The loss to the Golden Knights hurt, and so did their blowout loss to the Utah Mammoth, which happened a few days ago.
Without Nylander in the lineup, the offense will be impacted, and the team is expected to come through with a big performance against the Jets.
If they can't get the job done, then their playoff hopes are going to go down the drain quickly.
