Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood was on the Toronto Maple Leafs' radar, and today, the winger was officially traded for a very modest haul.
With the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to add a bit of offense to their roster, Kiefer Sherwood has been floated around as someone that the Leafs could use right now.
The Vancouver Canucks have been eager to move on from Sherwood, and there was this sense that a deal would be coming relatively soon.
With Rasmus Andersson being traded by the Calgary Flames on Sunday night, there was this sense that the dam was about to break when it comes to trades.
As it turns out, that prediction came true, with the Vancouver Canucks trading Kiefer Sherwood just a few moments ago.

It is a pretty decent haul, and you have to wonder whether or not the Maple Leafs even tried to acquire Sherwood, or if they let him be, knowing the price.
The Maple Leafs have been quiet so far this season when it comes to making trades, and with the deadline coming up, fans are hoping for some action.
General manager Brad Treliving has a lot of holes to fill on this Leafs team, and if he doesn't fill them soon, some fans are going to get upset.
For now, Leafs fans will just have to be patient as we wait to see what the Maple Leafs end up doing here, going forward.
