Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is currently injured, and on Thursday, Leafs head coach Craig Berube delivered an update on the goalie's condition.

Anthony Stolarz has largely struggled this season, especially in Joseph Woll's absence. Due to a lack of goaltending depth, Stolarz had to play more than he's ever played before, and this led to some of the worst numbers of his career.
With a goals-against average of 3.51 and a save percentage of .884, Stolarz is ranked among some of the worst goalies in the entire NHL.
Now, the goaltender is injured, and this has allowed Joseph Woll to step up and show out. Tonight, Woll will get the start against the Columbus Blue Jackets, as the Leafs look for a second win in a row.
As for Stolarz, he was not on the ice again today, and this has led to some real concern about his status and whether or not his injury is serious.

How long is Anthony Stolarz out for?

In fact, after morning skate, Leafs head coach Craig Berube was asked about Stolarz and whether or not we would see the goaltender anytime soon.
It was here that Berube admitted the injury was more serious than originally believed. The hope is that Stolarz will be on the ice tomorrow. However, there is currently no timeline for the goalie's return.
He could be out for another week, or he could be out for another two. Simply put, the Maple Leafs are not putting a timeline on any of this.
With Woll playing exceptionally well and boasting a save percentage of .934 through two games, the Leafs are in good hands, at least for right now.
When Stolarz does come back, the hope is that both netminders can split the crease and replicate some of their success from last season. Although with the defense playing the way it has, this could prove to be a difficult task.
For now, the team just needs to get through things one game at a time. First stop, the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at Scotiabank Arena.
