Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube spoke to the media on Saturday night, and as you're going to hear, there is a lot of doom and gloom right now.
Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost their fifth game in a row, this time to the Chicago Blackhawks, a team they should be able to beat.
The final score was 3-2, which is encouraging when you consider how the Maple Leafs were still very close to pulling out a victory.
Regardless, the team keeps losing, and fans are looking at head coach Craig Berube, who has neutered the team's offense in many respects.
There are some calling for his job, and after every single loss, things get heavier and heavier for Berube, who is no longer safe.
Craig Berube speaks out after another Maple Leafs loss
Last night, Berube did, in fact, speak to the Toronto media, and while he tried to stay positive, there is no denying that he sounds a bit defeated right now.
When asked why the team lost, he said it was two mistakes in the third period that ultimately put the Chicago Blackhawks over the edge.
However, it's a lot more than just that. The game is 60 minutes long, and the Leafs could have scored more goals earlier in the game.

At the end of the day, the Toronto Maple Leafs need to start winning games, and they need to start winning them fast.
A record of 8-9-2 is unacceptable, and it is getting to the point where the Leafs need to take action, or this will get even worse.
