Insider suggests a Toronto Maple Leafs trade could be coming soon

The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of many teams that need to improve right now, and according to Chris Johnston, some moves might be on the horizon.
With the Toronto Maple Leafs struggling to find an identity this season, it has become clear that general manager Brad Treliving has a very difficult job to do.
While the GM has not committed to making any sudden trades, it does feel as though he is working behind the scenes to get something done fast.
The Leafs are currently seventh in the Atlantic Division, and while they are only a few points out of a playoff spot, there is no doubt that their current situation is disappointing.
Thankfully, there are plenty of other teams out there who aren't satisfied right now, and this has opened up a huge opportunity to do some business.
When will Brad Treliving make a trade for the Maple Leafs?
According to Chris Johnston of The Athletic and TSN, there are numerous teams that want to shake things up, and one of those teams is the Maple Leafs.
While fans should not expect deals to happen immediately, it feels as though the market conditions are about to burst.
We've seen teams like Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, some of these teams are looking to shake things up a little bit; I do think the conditions are getting a little bit more ripe for deals to happen; it's still a little bit more time
This is obviously great news for the Maple Leafs, who have lost five out of their last six games. Were it not for William Nylander last night, they would have had six losses in a row.
In all fairness, the team is banged up right now. The one time they were almost fully healthy, they had an incredible showing against the Utah Mammoth.
Hopefully, the Leafs get their players back soon and prove to the rest of the NHL that they mean business right now.
