Jack Eichel rushes to Mitch Marner's defense ahead of return to Toronto

Mitch Marner is returning to Toronto on Friday to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, and guys like Jack Eichel are already running cover for him.
Las Vegas Golden Knights forward Mitch Marner is returning to Toronto for the first time on Friday, and there is going to be a large reaction.
The fans in Toronto do not love Mitch Marner anymore, and they are certainly going to let that be known as soon as humanly possible.
They have been waiting to boo the winger for months at this point, and they are finally going to be able to do so, as loudly as they wish.
Having said that, Marner's teammates are already jumping to his defense and running cover for him in the event that things get ugly.

The most recent person to do that was none other than Jack Eichel, who came out and noted that this game is going to be extremely difficult for Mitch Marner.
Nobody loves getting a rude welcome back and at the end of the day we're here for him Mitch is a pretty easy-going guy, I thought he handled the first game with ease. This will be a little more difficult going back to Toronto we'll try to play as hard as we can to make it a better experience for him.
Eichel says the Golden Knights are going to play hard for their teammate and that they will support him through the process.
Quite frankly, this all sounds a bit over-dramatic, and you cannot help but feel that, once again, Marner is being coddled like a child.
This was a problem that we saw when he was with the Leafs, and now, it is happening all over again with the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
At some point, this all needs to come to an end, and we can't imagine that the fans love hearing about this stuff all the time. Someone has to move on.
